My Fitness Journey Continued…

As we can all tell, I gave up on the fitness journey rather quickly. It’s easy to fall off the wagon when life comes at you and you’re still on the fence about making an actual commitment to working out and eating right. For me, the early mornings at work equaled me being exhausted, which turned into me justifying to myself that it’s OK to eat terrible because I’m tired and well I deserve it after making the sacrifice of getting out of bed before 6:00am. That mentality lead to be just giving up.

After consuming endless amounts of calories for what I justified as “Thanksgiving break” I found myself in the very dark place where I like to go after I mistreat my body for long periods of time. I felt (maybe still feel) fat, out of shape, tired, and bored with eating everything I craved. So I decided to try again. Rather, than writing about how fat and gross I felt, I decided to do the work then start writing about it.

This is last week’s recap, if you will. One thing I’m very proud of is that I’ve not given up on working out. Although I’ve been eating terrible I’ve been hitting the gym three times a week for an hour with my trainer, but as we all know, working out is 20% of the entire journey. Last week, we did legs, arms, and back and I’ve managed to screen shot evidence of me working out. I’m trying to get better at posting the work outs to my Instagram account (follow link below), let me know if anyone is interested in witnessing torture sessions and I will make sure to document the workouts.

On the very plus side, last week alone I started at 150lbs on Monday morning and ended the week at 147lbs Its not a big lose, but it’s a lose no less. This week, the goal will be to give the diet a much higher percentage of effort, but I will continue to update and hopefully I’ll be much lighter next Monday.
